LAWRENCE DIEHL: My practice is focused on complex equitable distribution cases, complex custody cases and appeals to the Virginia Court of Appeals. I've been practicing law since 1974 and I've handled thousands of family law cases. I treat each client's case as the most important matter in their lives and provide each client with realistic goals and expectations in their case.
One of my unique strengths is the ability to settle cases creatively and uniquely to avoid the cost and the emotions that parties can go through in these types of cases.
I was awarded the Virginia Lifetime Achievement Award in family law by the Virginia State Bar in 2000. I've had the opportunity to write our equitable distribution statutes and many of our support statutes over the years.
